Our Design Process

Every project begins with a warm and considered conversation to understand the client’s vision, lifestyle, and how they intend to use the space. We take time to listen carefully and explore the practical and aesthetic goals of the project. By reviewing floor plans, photographs, timelines, and budget, we build a clear picture of the brief. This forms the foundation for a tailored design proposal that sets the direction for the project and ensures we’re aligned from the outset.

This stage is about shaping the creative direction of the project. We translate the brief into a clear design narrative, using moodboards and floor plans to communicate the intended atmosphere, flow, and function of each space. Alongside proposed layouts, we introduce key elements that help define the overall vision — such as architectural finishes, early lighting concepts, furniture direction, and other considered details. The result is a cohesive concept that captures the tone and intention of the design before we move into development.

Once the concept design is approved, we move into the detailed design phase, where ideas are translated into precise drawings and specifications. This includes architectural detailing, bespoke joinery drawings, lighting and small power plans, as well as wall, floor, and ceiling finishes. At this stage, the design becomes fully defined, ensuring every element is thoughtfully considered and accurately documented. We work closely with architects, consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless coordination across all aspects of the project.

We manage the procurement of all furniture, fixtures, and equipment as required — from bespoke furniture design and custom lighting to soft furnishings, rugs, artwork, and curated off-the-shelf pieces. Each item is carefully selected to enhance the overall design, with considered attention to materials, finishes, and fabric schemes. The process concludes with the furnishing and styling of the space, ensuring every detail is in place to deliver a cohesive and fully realised interior.

Our design team remains closely involved from concept through to completion, ensuring the vision is realised with precision and care. We attend regular site meetings, review technical drawings, and maintain ongoing communication with contractors and suppliers to keep the project aligned with both the design intent and agreed timelines. Site visits are conducted as needed to monitor progress, resolve queries, and ensure the highest standards are upheld.
