A beautifully proportioned two-bedroom apartment, laterally converted across a pair of elegant Grade II listed Georgian townhouses in the heart of Islington. While the property had good bones, it lacked warmth and personality. Our brief was to create a refined, characterful home for a growing family who resonated with our style and had a clear vision for the space.

We worked closely with the client to build on the home’s existing charm, reinstating original features that had been lost over time, and layering in timeless design elements to bring cohesion and soul. New timber flooring runs throughout, adding texture and warmth, while carefully selected finishes and lighting enhance the home’s natural elegance.

The heart of the home is a bespoke kitchen—crafted to feel both tailored and inviting—with clean lines, tonal cabinetry and subtle brass detailing. Elsewhere, custom joinery, considered materiality and a muted palette lend a calm, contemporary edge to the period setting.

The result is a confident yet understated interior that honours the history of the building while supporting modern family life.
