Located in the heart of Clitheroe, this Grade II listed Georgian property had spent decades as an office space before our client approached us to help bring it back to life as a family home.

Working alongside the construction team, we led the full interior design of the house, carefully reconfiguring and rebuilding the internal spaces over a 19-month period. Many of the original Georgian features had been lost over the years, so one of our primary goals was to reinstate architectural detailing that felt true to the building, while crafting a home that would feel contemporary, comfortable and functional for modern living.

The design is intentionally layered — the ground floor leans into the home’s period character, while more contemporary elements emerge across the upper floors. Inspired by the surrounding Ribble Valley landscape, the palette is soft and earthy, grounded in natural materials and rich textures that flow seamlessly from room to room.

The result is a thoughtful balance of old and new — a home that feels rooted in its setting, respectful of its heritage, and completely tailored to the way our client lives today.
