Set deep in the Lancashire countryside, this detached stone farmhouse dates back to the 16th century. We were appointed early in the project to lead the full interior design and FF&E specification, working closely alongside the architects to help shape the internal layout and ensure the design vision was aligned from the very start.

As a studio, our approach is always rooted in the architecture. Here, the goal was to preserve and celebrate the original character of the building — restoring heritage features and working sympathetically with the fabric of the farmhouse — while reimagining it as a calm, contemporary home for a busy young family.

We drew inspiration from natural textures and materials, layering soft, muted tones to echo the surrounding landscape. Bespoke joinery, a sculptural double-height staircase and considered use of stone and timber bring a refined yet grounded feel to the space.

Spanning nearly two years, this was a significant and sensitive restoration — a complete transformation that honours the past while creating something beautifully liveable for the future.
