Eskdale, Cumbria, the Lake District

Formerly the Eskdale Vicarage, this 300-year-old property in the heart of the Cumbrian countryside has been thoughtfully restored and extended to create a remarkable family home and holiday escape. We were appointed to lead the full interior design and FF&E specification, working in close collaboration with the architect and client from the earliest stages.

This was a project that called for sensitivity, patience and vision — balancing the building’s historic character with a calm, contemporary sensibility. Our design approach centred around warmth, comfort and quality. Drawing on Scandinavian influences and a natural, grounded palette, we introduced tactile materials, layered textures and bespoke joinery to bring personality and cohesion to each space.

Throughout the home, restored features sit effortlessly alongside modern interventions; every detail designed to feel considered and enduring.
